HFI's goals include providing educational courses to enhance the skills of current helicopter professionals, providing scholarships and mentoring services to individuals seeking a career in the helicopter industry as pilots and/or maintenance technicians, building a network of cooperative efforts with aviation universities, colleges, vocational schools, and training schools in order to attract the interest of young people in the international helicopter community, fostering an appreciation of the industry's rich history of service to mankind among others.
