      MODEL EXHIBIT
The HFI model and historical documents collection rivals any collection depicting the history of the helicopter anywhere in the world in terms of size and content. It is currently being digitized and will be made available to the public in the future. This invaluable collection of information will have a google-powered interface making it easy to search in seconds, the documents, which number in the tens of thousands.

Part of HFI's scale model collection is on display at its Headquarters at 1635 Prince Street in Alexandria, Virginia. The display shows the history of and continued improvements in helicopter design and the sophistication of the craft of scale modeling.

Special thanks go to the many craftsmen, including Art Babiarz, Ned Gillliand, Bill Topping, Lloyd V. Jones, Thomas Krivacsy, Jim Matthews, Inima Siqueira, Pat March, Michael Rastello, and Pete Harlem who built models for the HFI collection.

HFI thanks the many private and corporate scale model donations made to the collection. And a very special thanks is extended to the late John "Slats" Slattery for building the collection and maintaining it for many decades.

This Web site includes photographs of the scale models in the HFI collection; aircraft vital statistics, a summary of each helicopter's history; and a description of the model's relationship to the HFI archives. Every effort has been made to accurately identify and describe the models. Please contact us at http://helicopterfoundation.org if you have comments, recommendations or further historic input regarding the HFI scale model collection.
