Each year at HAI HELI-EXPO, HFI offers a rich program of safety education sessions and events: the HFI Rotor Safety Challenge. Free to registered HAI HELI-EXPO attendees and exhibitors, the sessions offer practical safety strategies that are helicopter-specific and can be implemented back on the job.
At HAI HELI-EXPO 2016 in Louisville, Kentucky, the Rotor Safety Challenge offered 63 safety education events, most of which were eligible for FAA WINGS or AMT program credits. Topics covered included autorotations, human factors in maintenance, fuel management, wind shear, cockpit distractions, SMS for private operators, and many more.
The schedule for the 2017 HFI Rotor Safety Challenge is still being developed but will be posted beginning September 20. Check back then and remember to put safety on your HAI HELI-EXPO agenda.
